What to Expect
Smile Design Consultation
Your dentist discusses your goals, evaluates your teeth and bite, and determines how many veneers are needed. Digital imaging may be used to preview your projected results.
Tooth Preparation (Visit 1)
A thin layer of enamel (approximately 0.5mm) is removed from the front surface of each tooth to make room for the veneer. An impression or digital scan is taken and a temporary veneer is placed.
Veneer Fabrication
Your custom veneers are crafted by a dental lab to match the color, shape, and translucency you and your dentist have designed. This typically takes 2–3 weeks.
Bonding (Visit 2)
The temporary veneers are removed, and each permanent veneer is carefully checked for fit and color before being permanently bonded to your teeth.
Final Adjustments & Care Instructions
Your bite is checked and minor adjustments are made as needed. You receive care instructions to help you maintain your veneers for years to come.
